Dr. Huilian Sophie Qiu

Biography: 

Huilian Sophie Qiu is a Junior Research Group leader with the Computer Networks Group, Institute of Computer Science, University of Göttingen. Prior to this, she was a Research Assistant Professor at the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO) at Northwestern University. Her research focuses on the science of science, developer diversity in open-source communities, social network analysis, and natural language processing. She received her PhD in Societal Computing from Carnegie Mellon University, MSc in Computer Science from Princeton University, as well as BSc in Computer Science and BA in East Asian Studies from Brown University
